TECHNOLOGY

3D PRINTING

Dentistry is changing. In fact, it has already been changing for some time. Today, we dentists have at our disposal technologies such as intraoral 3D scanners, facial 3D scanners, 3D printers and much more. Here is an example of a fully digital workflow for making a “bite”.

INTRA-ORAL SCANNER

The digital dental impression is an innovative service that ensures greater reliability, precision and comfort for the patient.
Compared to the traditional method, which required a soft paste to be placed in the mouth for about five minutes, the use of the intraoral scanner allows the conformation of the oral cavity to be detected in just a few seconds and accurate data on the structure of the dental arches to be obtained.
The result is a virtual three-dimensional model, which can be processed through specific software and used for the fabrication of customised prostheses.

CONSCIOUS SEDATION

Conscious sedation is a condition of altered consciousness during which the patient is in a state of comfort and tranquillity, but at the same time responds to tactile and verbal stimuli from the doctor.
Generally entrusted to the anaesthetist, this sedation technique is achieved through the intravenous administration of drugs that exert their action on the central nervous system.
At the end of the procedure, the patient quickly emerges from the drug-induced sedation and, in about 10-15 minutes, is able to move around independently.

STERILISATION 4.0

To guarantee maximum safety for our patients, we have invested in a highly innovative sterilisation system: our autoclaves ensure a sterilisation and decontamination flow of the instruments that is fully monitored and tracked thanks to the internet connection, reducing margins of error to zero.

PRF

Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) is a biological product derived from the patient’s own blood, used in various medical procedures, particularly in oral and maxillofacial surgery. This product was developed as an alternative to synthetic materials and chemicals to stimulate tissue healing and reduce post-operative recovery time. PRF consists of a fibrin matrix, a high concentration of platelets and growth factors, which promote cell proliferation and the formation of new tissue.
